CANADA SAFETY COUNCIL
BABYSITTER TRAINING COURSE
BABYSITTING IS A RESPONSIBILITY. SITTERS NEED PRACTICAL TRAINING TO HANDLE EMERGENCIES, FIRST AID, AND EVERYDAY CHILD CARE WITH CONFIDENCE.
COURSE OVERVIEW
Babysitting is not a job, it is a responsibility. The sitter is responsible for the life or lives of human beings in their care. There is much to learn about caring for children. If an emergency should occur, would you know what to do? Would you know who to call? Would you know how to give first aid?
All of these instances require professional training and without it you should not be taking care of someone else's children. The liability is much too large. Sitters should be properly trained and certified.
